What are the benefits of this substrate?
The gravel pieces range in size and shape and can be layered to give depth to the aquarium. The Baikal gravel is also lightfast, meaning it won’t lose its dark shade with time. The larger surface area of the gravel pieces allows cleansing bacteria a place to settle, supporting a healthy tank. Fish will be comfortable with the darker shade of gravel, and will show their brightest colours.
