Value brand SuperFish has released a single-head automatic doser called Dosing Pump One. Best known for pond pumps and freshwater nano tanks, the SuperFish brand is owned by Dutch company Aquadistri, and although they have a marine product brand called Blue Marine this simple auto doser has been released as SuperFish, possibly to broaden its appeal to freshwater aquarium owners who dose liquid plant food, as well as saltwater reef tank dosers.

It consists of a single peristaltic dosing head, a basic onboard digital display, touch capacitive buttons for programming, a hose, and a non-return valve. It can dose as frequently as every hour or as far apart as three days and can be set to dose anything from a tiny 1ml to a truly voluminous 9999ml/2.64 gals a day, according to its instructions. (If dosing large amounts and regularly, we would advise checking the dosing head and hose for signs of stretch and wear and tear.) It can also be calibrated and will alarm if there is insufficient liquid available to dose. Apart from that, it’s a no-frills, non-Wi-Fi, non-Bluetooth, automatic doser.
